II. Role in the Industry
1. Providing a Platform for Exchange and Cooperation: As a service platform for Tianjin's robot industry, TJRIA prioritizes facilitating learning, communication, and collaboration among its members. Since its establishment, the association has organized or participated in at least 15 events annually, receiving positive feedback from the industry. Member units have benefited from these activities in terms of academic-industrial cooperation, upstream and downstream enterprise connections, and resource sharing.
2. Providing Technical Support for Government Decision-Making: TJRIA serves as a bridge between government and enterprises. In recent years, the association has participated in the formulation and consultation of Tianjin's industrial policy on robots and intelligent manufacturing, the organization of Tianjin's intelligent manufacturing special projects, and the compilation and publication of documents such as "Tianjin Beichen District Robot Five-Year Development Plan (2016-2020)," "Tianjin Robot Development Plan (2017-2020)," the industrial robot entry in the "Tianjin Yearbook," and assisting the Tianjin Municipal Commission of Industry and Information Technology in completing the "Tianjin Robot Industry Three-Year Action Plan." It has also participated in the compilation of the "China Robot Industry Yearbook" by the China Robot Industry Alliance.
3. Integrating Resources and Creating Branded Events: In 2018, TJRIA integrated Tianjin's robot industry resources and, together with the Tianjin Robot Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance and the Tianjin Robot Society, established the "Tianjin Robot Conference." The conference has been held four times, attracting over 300 academics and industry professionals from Tianjin each year. It has played a guiding role in activating Tianjin's robot industry and promoting academic-industrial l cooperation. In 2019 and 2022, the conference received the Capek Award, the highest honor in the robot industry, for "Best Industry Organization." In 2022, it was rated as a "AAA-level social organization" by Tianjin Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau.
